"The Life of Virgil Wyatt Smith", Virgil Wyatt Smith was born on September 13, 1960, in Plainview, Texas to the parents of Buford and Laura Smith. He was a longtime employee of The Salvation Army in his job duties with "Ringing the Bell", here....there....anywhere. He retired in 2015 of many years of serving anyone that came across his path. He also graduated from Amarillo College to have those credentials with his God given talent to art in 2014. Virgil realized early in life of his natural God given gift to reflect what he sees and then put it on paper. Virgil's artistic talents have been expressed....enjoyed and utilized in every aspect of his life.

Virgil is preceded in death by his parents; Laura and Buford Smith as well as brothers; Anthony Timmins, Bradford Earl Smith, James Earl Smith & James Ray Smith. Virgil lived an exceptional life that lies before us and what lies behind us are tiny matters when compared to what lies within us. He always considered the latter quote to live by. Virgil Wyatt Smith traveled the world and drew much of the world. He was an artist who worked for places like the courthouse, church's and personal business venters.

Virgil is survived by his wife, Teddie Marie Smith; his mother-in-law, Vena Marie McClendon; his daughter, Victoria Marie Smith and her spouse Michael M. Debose and Victoria’s children, Jerome J. Lewis Jr., Jakin R. Lewis, Jakayla M. Lewis, Jertona J. Lewis and her ex-husband, Jerome J. Lewis Sr.; his daughter, Valiria Luvinia Smith and her spouse Danqual L. Ashley Sr. and Valiria’s children, Danqual L. Ashley Jr., Descarte L. Ashley, David Chol Smith and Dakari Lee Smith; his sons, Virgil Wyatt Smith Jr., Vernon Lee Smith and Thomas Edward Brown Jr. and his spouse Karen Galindo – Brown and Thomas’ children, Keenan Thomas Brown, Xavian Brown, Junior Brown and Zen Brown; his daughter, Tieshekia Deshionna Brown and her spouse, Tyrail D. Hughes and Tieshekia’s children, Dasryra Butler, Tyrail Hughes Jr. and expecting a new child; his siblings, Leon Timmons, Larry B. Smith, Virginia Smith, Russell Smith and Lieutenant Smith; his nieces and nephews, Brenda Smith – Pittsburg, Lashada Towery, Leyette Smith, Larry B. Smith Jr. and Lester Ray Smith and family friends, Bernadette Karen and Margret Langford.
