Virgil Eugene Richardson

Virgil Eugene Richardson, 95, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 in Amarillo. He was born September 9, 1926 in Gray County, Kansas to the late John Wade and Clara Mae Richardson. He was a Dispatcher for Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America. Virgil was a graduate of the Class of 1947 Cimarron High School, Cimarron, Kansas. Virgil served in the United States Navy, in the Pacific Fleet during World War II.

He is survived by one sister, Midge Hamilton; four sons, Victor Richardson, Greg Richardson and wife Sherry, Kent Richardson, Vaughn Richardson and wife Kristen,  one daughter, Valorie Wilson and husband Scott;  9 grandchildren: 6 great grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife Lila Mae Richardson in 2005.

A visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 PM Monday, February 21, 2022 at LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter Road, Amarillo. Funeral Service will be at 3:00 PM Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at the LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Michael Chase of Christian Heritage Church.  Serving as Pallbearers will be Jason Harris; Zeb Wilson; Matt Wilson; Ryan Richardson; Ben Richardson; Bryson Richardson; Ethan Richardson.
