Venerable Sam Khamphoukeo

Venerable Sam Khamphoukeo 91, of Amarillo passed away July 14, 2022. He was born to Piane and Khamsy Khamphoukeo on April 13, 1931 in Vientiane, Laos.

He was a graduate of Laos Military Academy, and was the venerable monk at Wat Lao Buddharam. He spent most of his time with the other monks in prayer and meditation.

He was survived by his children Sengchanh Chanthaphone, daughter Sheena Khamphoukeo, daughter Sophie Birch, son Randy Khamphoukeo, son Dennis Khamphoukeo, daughter Cherry Khamphoukeo, and son Andy Khamphoukeo, eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was proceeded by his parents Piane and Khamsy Khamphoukeo, and daughter Phaivanh Phimphachanh.
