Travis Lee Simmons 67, of Canyon, Texas passed away Thursday June 25, 2020. He was born October 19, 1952 in Dallas, Texas to Travis Wray and Mary Jane Simmons. Travis was an amazing husband, father, brother, uncle, son, nephew, grandpa (Poppy), and friend. A man among many other titles who would give everything he had to help someone in need. He spent 50 years plus in the oil and piping, engineer and designing for the petrochemical field.

"My amazing, wonderful, loving, compassionate, and caring Daddy! You would give anyone in need the shirt off your back, and on the other hand, have the power of Zeus’ thunderbolts behind you when someone does wrong, especially when it would put someone in danger…. They may not know which way you are coming from but they can guarantee that you are coming. You have one of the largest hearts I have ever known anyone to have. You are like a super hero, defend the ones that can’t and always challenging others to do their best, and no one means more to you than your family. I love you so very much and am so very blessed to be lucky enough to be your daughter. I LOVE YOU DADDY!!!!"

He is preceded death by his father, Travis Wray Simmons and mother, Mary Jane Parr Simmons.
