Tommy J Post

Tommy J. Post, 77, of Amarillo, TX went home to be with the Lord on October 5, 2020.

Tommy was born on January 21, 1943, to Marvin and Bessie Post, in Amarillo, TX. He was born and raised in Amarillo with his brother Ronnie Post and was a lifelong resident of Amarillo. He married Janet Arney of Amarillo on August 18, 1973 – they were married for 47 years.

He worked as a warehouse manager for Maywood Inc. for 33 years. He went on to work for Golden Light Restaurant Equipment for 13 years as a shipping and receiving manager until he retired in 2007.

Tommy loved fishing, grilling, spending time with his family and friends and especially a great game of poker. He was a self-taught auto mechanic of which he passed his knowledge on to his sons and grandsons. He was a loving husband, Dad and Peepaw to his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a great-grandson Gavin LeCroy. He is survived by his beautiful wife Janet, his brother Ronnie Post and Betty Bryant, 2 sons Wade Post of Amarillo, Nick and Monica Post of Canyon, his 3 daughters Tracy and Rich Eager of Fort Worth, Marta Greer of Fort Worth and Kristie and Corry Karlen of Fort Worth.  He had 14 grandchildren, Casey Cooper and Sarah Post, Sasha Brothers, Andrew LeCroy, Chase, Shyan and Logan Post, Meghan, Tyler and Colton Eager, Tanner and Alex Greer, and Ally and Carson Karlen. He also had 10 great grandchildren Emma Eager, Beckham, Paisley, Briella, Chloe, Kylie, Cayden and Tyler Greer, Ethan Cooper and Ryker Post.
