April 10, 1951 — June 1, 2019

Theodore “Ted or Teddy” Patrick Teague, 68, of Amarillo, Texas, passed from this life on June 1, 2019. Ted was born in Amarillo Texas, on April 10, 1951 to Hubert Earl Teague and Theola Francis (Johnson) Harris, formerly Teague.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2019 in LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Arrangements are under the personal care of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors.

The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00–8:00 p.m.

Ted was a graduate of Caprock High School in Amarillo, Texas. He worked as a railroad engineer at BNSF for 34 years before retiring.

Ted enjoyed sports, especially basketball, football, boating, and fishing. He loved to watch his grandchildren play sports of any kind, and cherished the times he spent with his family as he believed they were his legacy. He also had season tickets for numerous sports at West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas that he attended regularly with his brother. Ted was a man with a larger-than-life personality, laugh, and love for others, and those that he touched will forever remember the light that he brought to them.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hubert Teague; his mother, Francis Harris and his stepfather who raised him, Rex Carl Harris.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Teffny Lambden and husband Brad of Austin, Theodore “Theo” Patrick Teague, II, of Fort Mountain Home, Idaho, Sheena Nichole Teague and boyfriend Logan Underwood of Amarillo, and Ryan Carl Teague of Amarillo; 7 grandchildren, Riley Clark, Landry Lambden, Dalton Lambden, Micah Teague, Ashton Teague, Connor Teague, Amillia Teague and Brayan “Beau” Teague. He is also survived by 3 siblings, Theresa Gavin and husband John, Hubert Earl “Sonny” Teague, Jr., and Nancy Henderson and husband Ricky; one niece, Jessica, and 5 nephews, Trent, Marcus, Derek, Chris, and Trey; former daughter in-law Krisanne Czepinski; his former wife Wynna Lee Teague; and several other family members and friends.

“May I neither dread nor desire the last day.”
