Teresa Ontiveros

Teresa Ontiveros, 87, of Amarillo passed away surrounded by family on Friday, October 25, 2019. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am, Monday, October 28, 2019 at St. Laurence Catholic Church. Rosary will be said at 5:30 pm, Sunday, October 27, 2019 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel. The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Sunday, October 27, 2019 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel.

Teresa was born on October 15, 1932 in Mexico to Fernando and Maria Ontiveros. She married the love of her life, Ramon Armendariz on January 1, 1954 in Mexico. She was a homemaker and a great cook. She loved music, dancing and was a very joyful lady. She was a social butterfly and always had friends coming over to her house. Teresa would start every day with her special cup of coffee. Teresa was very devoted to Our Lady of Guadalupe and a very strong lady. She loved her family and she will be greatly missed by all of them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ramon, two daughters, Teresa Armendariz and Rita Lorena Armendariz, two brothers and one sister.

She is survived by four daughters, Antonieta Ontiveros, Rosa Idelia Cortez and husband Ruben, Sandra V. Armendariz and husband Jose Silva and Flor Tena and husband Bernandino Garza; four sons, Ramon Armendariz and wife Minerva, Roberto Armendariz, Hector Armendariz and wife Erika, Christian Armendariz and wife Susana; twenty six grandchildren and thirty six great grandchildren.
