Roberta Maxine Beard

Roberta Littlejohn Beard of Amarillo, TX, Born on 5/14/1932 to Dave & Hazel Littlejohn in Amarillo, TX. Passed away 11/06 /2019 at home surrounded by family. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Northridge Church of Christ with Pastor Glen Walton officiating. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery.

Roberta married Virgil Beard on June 7, 1947 in Amarillo, TX. They were married 45 years and 8 months at the time of Virgil’s passing in 1993. Roberta was a housewife and worked for Kids Inc. for several years in the 1970's. She loved to crochet in her younger years and was quite the jokester. She loved the Texas Rangers and was an avid reader. Roberta was a very nurturing lady and took care of everyone. Everybody wanted to come to Roberta's house especially on Friday nights for chocolate donuts, cinnamon rolls and milk for dinner.

Roberta was preceded in death by her beloved husband, her parents, two grandsons; Charles Morris Jr, and Quentin Beard, four brothers; Albert, Bobby, George and Lewis.

Left to treasure her memories are four daughters and two sons. Virgie Morris and husband Charlie of Denison, TX, Brenda Godejohn and husband Cary of Clear Lake, SD, George Beard and wife Vicki of Hamilton, TX, Perry Beard and wife Lori of Lincoln, NE, Cloyce Kuhnert and husband Brian of Canyon, TX, Troyce Wilson and husband Dennis of Amarillo, TX. 17 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren, one brother Perry Littlejohn and wife Johnnie, one sister Rosalie Littlejohn, numerous nieces and nephews and one bonus daughter Beverly Holloway and husband Patrick of Conway, AR and her children.
