Pauline Steen Branum passed from this life on March 18 at the age of 97.
She was born in Cumby, TX, to O. H. and Lena Speed. She married
Norman Steen in 1940 in Brownfield, TX, and after WWII they lived the
rest of their lives in Amarillo. They had four children. She is survived by
son Wayne and wife Susan, daughter Melba Knowles, and son David, as
well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Norman preceded her in death in 1964 as did daughter Linda Silvertooth in
1993.
She was laid to rest beside Norman in a graveside service surrounded by
her family on March 20 at Llano Cemetery.
The family sends their sincere appreciation to the staff at Legacy
Rehabilitation and Living and to Open Heart Hospice for their excellent
care during the final phase of her life.
