Paul Salvador Romero

Paul Salvador Romero, 68, of Amarillo passed from this life on Thursday, May 17, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, May 22, 2018 in LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel with his nephew, Randy Romero officiating. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery East. Arrangements are under the personal care of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.

Paul was born on July 19, 1949 to Larry and Mary Hernandez Romero in Amarillo. He grew up in Amarillo where he attended school. Paul worked in construction as a mason. He was a christian. Paul enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, eating chocolate donuts and most of all loved spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a giving and generous soul who would give you his last dollar and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Romero and a sister, Barbara Flores.

Paul is survived by his mother, Mary Romero; his daughter, Rebecca Mercado and husband Elliot; a grandson, Isaiah Mercado; six sisters, Carmen Romero, Becky Preciado, Debbie Lucero, Jane Ruiz. Lisa Romero and Gloria Sotero; two brothers, Isidro Romero and Larry Romero Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews and his schnauzer, Lady.
