Nellie was born on July 16, 1943, in Spearman, Texas to Earl Carl and Gladys Marie (Burgess) Collier. She was the oldest of four children.

Nellie was a hugger and loved to hug everyone whether she knew them or not! She worked at Goodwill for fifteen years, and she enjoyed that tremendously. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mary Brown and a brother, Carl Collier, in 2019.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving sister, Ann Terbush and husband, Gerald, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Bykota Southern Baptist Church.
