Mary Gertrude Denton

Mary Gertrude Denton, 81, of Amarillo, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021 in Amarillo.  She was born on July 3, 1940 in Brice, Texas to the late Cecil Rich and Beaulah Gertrude Williams Rich.  She worked at Whitney Russell Printers for 30 years and was a member of Arden Road Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Jacque Morin and Amanda Short of Amarillo; two step-sons, Andy and Jeff Denton; 6 grandchildren, Charity Jones, Sabrina Morin, Rocky Morin, Kurry Short, Kasey Short and Koby Short; 7 great grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Short.

A visitation will be from 3:00 – 5:00 PM Sunday, December 19, 2021 at LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter Road, Amarillo.  Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, December 20, 2021 at the LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Coulter Road Chapel.
