Mary Ann Adams, 73, of Canyon, Texas, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Sunday, November 11, 2018.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at St. Laurence Catholic Church in Amarillo. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13, at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Arrangements are under the personal care of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter Road.
Mary Ann was born on January 13, 1945 in Odessa, Texas to Willard and Madie (Haney) Hensley. She was a member of St. Laurence Catholic Church for over six years. Mary Ann was a kind, friendly and outgoing person. She loved riding horses and playing pool. She worked for some time as a beautician and a florist. Mary Ann never met a stranger. She worked for several years at Walmart in Canyon as a greeter. Her favorite time of year was December. She would faithfully make "Magic Reindeer Dust" to hand out to each child that came into the store for the entire month.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Warren "Butch" Adams; one brother, Bill Hensley and her former husband, Billy Don Tidwell.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Bryan Adams and wife, Jackie of Canyon, Texas, Billy Tidwell and wife Lori of Raytown, Missouri and James Tidwell and wife, Kelley of Alvin, Texas; one brother, Don Hensley and wife Doreen. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, a niece and nephew.
