Maida M. Villasenor, 83 was called home on Wednesday March 16th, 2022.

Maida M. Villasenor was born on July 29th, 1938 in Santa Rosa, New Mexico to Felipe and Fabiola Gutierrez. She grew up in Santa Rosa and Borger and attended Borger High School and graduated from Cosmetology school. She was a hairdresser and had a very successful career. Maida married Manny Perez Villasenor in Borger in 1963 and she was self-employed for over 50 years when she retired. She was a longtime member of St. Laurence Catholic Church and served as an lector for many years for the 5:30 PM Mass. Her Divine Mercy and Legion of Mary weekly meetings were very important to her. She was also a faithful volunteer at church and she would even sponsor children in other countries. Even after supporting her husband in campaigns she would still do her civic duty in helping with early voting, for many years after. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Maida is survived by her daughters, Julianne Villasenor and Teresa Dement; her sister, Helen Hernandez and brothers, Joe Gutierrez, Ray Gutierrez and Leroy Gutierrez, and loving grandchildren, Sean London, Colin Lawler, Denvar Lawler, Travis Lawler, Gianna King, Marissa King and Aly King.

Preceded in death by her loving husband Manny Perez Villasenor, her parents Felipe and Fabiola Gutierrez.

Pallbearers for the service include; Carl Dement, Aly King, Sean London, Travis Lawler, Colin Lawler and Denvar Lawler.
