Lynn Edwin Marks, 76 of Amarillo, died Wednesday, November 13th, 2019 in Amarillo surrounded by his family.
Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, November 18th, 2019 at Trinity Fellowship Chapel with Pastor Kyle Wilkinson Officiating. Visitation will be Sunday November 17th from 5:00 - 7:30 PM at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors.
Lynn was born April 1st, 1943 to Charles and Ella Mae Marks in Jeannette, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Jeannette High School in 1961 and immediately entered into the armed forces where he served four years in the U.S. Air Force. Lynn was last stationed in Amarillo before being honorably discharged. After his career in the Air Force Lynn worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a Mail Carrier, and would work with them until retirement. Lynn was a member of the 57 Chevy club and he loved to buy and restore antique cars; he was also a member of the boat and ski club in Clarendon. Lynn was always a good father and always provided for his family. His family remembers how stubborn he could be and how he always spoke his mind; he was always straight forward and to the point. Lynn enjoyed spending time at the coffee shop with friends and never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his wife Sis Marks; his parents; and the mother of his Children Vickie Marks.
Survivors include his Daughter Kris Daniel and husband Scott of Canyon; one son Michael Marks of Amarillo; three grandchildren Jordan Marks, Cody Marks and Lexi Garcia; Four Great Grandchildren Jazlynn, Jansynn, Melaina, and Adam.
