John Moungkhot, 71, of Amarillo passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017. Funeral Services with be at 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 18, 2017 at First Baptist Church with Pastor Boon Vongsurith officiating. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.
John was born on January 1, 1946 in Laos to Inh and Pong Moungkhot. He moved to the United States where he was a teacher at Eastridge Elementary for over thirty years. When he was not teaching school, John worked as a security guard. He was an expert ping pong player and taught many people how to play.
John is survived by his brother, Boutsady Moungkhot.
