Jarrica Helen Austin, longtime Amarillo resident, went home to be with her Lord Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the age of 38.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 18th from 1:00 PM to 7:00 pm at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road. The Homegoing Celebration will be held Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 11:00 am at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery.
Jarrica was born in Amarillo on September 20, 1979 to Doris Swain and Duane Austin.
She was a fun-loving person who enjoyed all varieties of music and spending time with her children, family and friends.
Jarrica was preceded in death by her grandmother, Katherine "Kat" Swain; her grandfathers, Mathis Swain and George Austin.
She is survived by her parents, both of Amarillo; two sons, Katreal Austin and Zachariah Birdow of Amarillo; her grandmother, Marion "Lil Mama" Austin of the home, one brother, Duane Austin II of Amarillo; four uncles, Dwight Austin of Dallas, Derrick Austin, Joe Howard and Ernest Morris, all of Amarillo; three aunts, Ophelia Cumby, Ocie Thomas and Dawn Austin, all of Amarillo; a very close personal friend, Doris Britt of Amarillo and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
