James Michael "Mike" Lightfoot, 67, of Amarillo died on Friday, April 27, 2018. No services are scheduled at this time.

James Michael "Mike" Lightfoot was born on August 30, 1951 in Plainview to Lee Roy and Clara Lightfoot. Mike graduated from Plainview High School in 1969. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. After serving his country, Mike enrolled in West Texas State University and received his Bachelor of Science followed by his Master of Science degree. MIke worked at Pantex as a Chemist and retired after more than twenty five years of service. Mike was very passionate about his work and took great pride in what he did. He had an affinity for cars and enjoyed restoring his old muscle car, a Plymouth Roadrunner. He also enjoyed playing golf and watching any sporting event on television. Mike's true love was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Clara.

He is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Morrow and husband Joshua and Lacey Ray and husband Siromie; a son, Steven Lightfoot; two grandchildren, Tyrien and Siromie Jr.; his father, Lee Roy Lightfoot and wife Sheila; a brother, Randy Lightfoot and a sister, Patti Murphy and husband Mike.
