Donald Dwain Fewell, 68, of Amarillo passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018. Memorial Services will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Pastor Darrell Anderson of Paramount Baptist Church officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Monday, January 29, 2018 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel.

Donald Fewell was born on November 27, 1949 in Amarillo to Cecil and Zinita Fewell. He graduated from Palo Duro High School and received his Bachelor degree from West Texas A&M. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Donald married the love of his life, Deborah Smith on November 27, 1969 in Amarillo. Donald was an electrical draftsman and worked for Utility Engineering for over twenty years. Donald was an Eagle Scout and Boy Scout leader for many years and also helped with the Girl Scouts. He loved to go camping and fly fishing in the mountains. After setting up camp, he would walk the circle and make friends with all of the other campers. He never met a stranger. Donald also loved to build and fly remote control airplanes and was also an avid reader and a history buff. He loved to play strategic board games and could make a monopoly game last for weeks, but most of all, Donald loved hanging with his family and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jerry Fewell.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah; his daughter, Amity Hahn and husband Justin; a son, Chad Fewell and two grandchildren, Gabriel and Ariane Hahn.
