Divyaprabha Patel

Divyaprabha Patel, 99, of Amarillo passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2019. Funeral services will be at 2:30 pm, Saturday, April 20, 2019 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel.

Divyaprabha Patel was born on February 21, 1920 in India to Manilal and Ugriben Pandit. She married Dr. Suryakant Patel on February 14, 1973. She was a teacher at Amarillo College where she taught English as a second language (ESL). She also was a high school teacher from 1941 until 1973 where she taught various subjects including Gujarati. She also taught weekly Geeta study groups and religious classes. Divyaprabha recently took up playing Free Cell card game.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Suryakant Patel; her daughter, Neelaben Lamki and husband Lamk; three sons, Bharat Raval and wife Pramila, Rajesh Patel and wife Mukti and Janak Raval and wife Usha; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
