Darell "Butch" Denton Oakley

A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, Amarillo, TX.

Darrell “Butch” Denton Oakley, 80, of Amarillo, Texas passed away April 5, 2020. He was born December 7, 1939 to Jewell and Gracie Oakley. He served in the United States Army and He worked for USPS. He coached Kids Inc. football and baseball and was a Scout Leader.

He is preceded in death by his Wife Judy Oakley; his daughter, Kim Young; sister, Beth Lightfoot and parents, Jewell and Gracie Oakley.

He is survived by his son, Dusty Oakley and wife Linda; his daughter, Janna Avidas and husband Ben; grandsons, Joseph Young and Dustin Smith; granddaughters, Amanda Akins and husband Kyle, Genna Craig and husband Ty, Kristen Oakley, Savannah Oakley and Maci Avidas; great-grandchildren, Ziegen Akins and Riley Craig and his sister Shirley Perez and husband Al.
