Billie Lee Main

Billie Lee Main, 93, of Amarillo, passed away with her granddaughter at her side on Sunday, July 14, 2019.  Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Pastor Randy Davis of Lifeway Fellowship Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the personal care of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors.

The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5:00-6:30 p.m.

Billie was born on October 23, 1925 in Ada, Oklahoma to William and Ola (Brand) Layland.  She met and married the love of her life, Robert Delbert (R.D.) Main in 1942.  They remained married until his passing in 2007.

Billie was a strong, energetic, independent Matriarch.  One never had to worry what she thought because she would always tell you.  She enjoyed embroidery and created some beautiful pieces.  Billie also enjoyed planting flower beds.  She is described as being a glamourous woman as she loved dressing nicely every day.  Billie loved spending time with her great-great grandsons. She always anticipated their visits.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ola Layland; her husband, R.D. Main; one son, Darrell Main; one grandson, Troy Main as well as his wife, Tonya Main.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Jerry Main and wife, Linda; loving granddaughters, Tracy Olivarez and husband, René, Mandi Main-Lewis, Traci Weaver and Kristy D. Main; grandsons, Tyler Main and Steven Main; great-grandchildren, Jarred Main, Haley Main, Jeremy Clemans, Nicole Lopez and Steven Olivarez.  She is also survived by more than 14 great-great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
