Bettie M. Weeks

Bettie Maurine Weeks 83, of Amarillo Texas, passed from this life on June 1, 2019. Bettie was born in Wheeler Texas, on November 13, 1935 to William and Dorothy Cantrell.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2019 in LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Arrangements are under the personal care of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors.

Bettie was a graduate of Shamrock High School in Shamrock, Texas. She worked in a business office for BSA Hospital.

Bettie loved life, and enjoyed the great outdoors, especially her lake house at Greenbelt Lake. She had many friends, enjoyed needle point, crochet, and sewing for the public. Bettie was an amazing cook and loved to dance, especially two-stepping with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Dyrika Weeks.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Deborah Lynn Weeks of Amarillo, Texas, Larry Don Weeks and his wife, Carol 4 granddaughters, Amaris Zakigala and her husband, Scott, of Montgomery, Texas, Jessie Ritchardson and her husband, Wesley, of Amarillo, Texas, Alycia Kidd and her husband, Josh, of Amarillo, Texas, Julie Ambrozak and her husband, David, of Georgetown, Maryland; 3 grandsons, Justin Cates and his wife, Cayley, of Amarillo, Texas, Josh Weeks and his wife, Felisha, of Lubbock, Texas, Dustin Lyday and his wife, Jufei, of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
