Arthur Rodriguez

Arthur Rodriguez, 60, of Amarillo passed from this life on Thursday, March 14, 2019. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 10:00 am, Wednesday, March 20, 2019 in LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are under the personal care of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter Road.

Arthur was born in Lamesa, Texas to Modesto and Margarita Rodriguez. He grew up in Lamesa. He moved to Amarillo in 1992 and married Evangelina Sanchez. Arthur worked for Tyson and Swift Meat Packing in Amarillo. He enjoyed playing music on his guitar and drums, and cooking for the church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Diana Perez and two brothers, Mike Rodriguez and Modesto Rodriguez Jr.

Left to cherish his memory are his six children, John Levario and wife Michelle, Rhonda Levario, Sandra Rodriguez, Arthur "Arty" Rodriguez Jr. and wife, Debbie Martinez, Roxanne Rodriguez and husband, Bennie Baca, and Rocky Rodriguez and wife, Adriana; 8 siblings, Sylvia Uresti, Gloria Rodriguez, Roy Rodriguez, Yolanda Molina, Martin Rodriguez, Ricky Rodriguez, Javier Rodriguez and Gracie Pena; 22 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.

Viewing and visitation will be held on Monday from 2:00 - 7:00 pm and Tuesday from 9:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
