Anita Fay Hanson

Anita Fay Hanson of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022.

The visitation will be held at the LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Martin Road Chapel on Thursday, July 28,2022, at 4:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at the LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Martin Road Chapel on Friday, July 29, 2022, at 10:00am. The interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery after the funeral service.

Anita was born to Reverend Samuel Clifford Littlejohn and Ruby Lucille Littlejohn in Frederick, Oklahoma on February 2, 1934. She had two sisters and three brothers. She married Pete Hanson on May 1, 1955, in Altus, Oklahoma. She had one son, John Hanson, and one daughter, Darla Hanson. She received Christ at the age of 10 and loved God. Her husband was a building contractor for the Assembly of God. She oversaw the music and organized an orchestra at her church in Red Wing, Minnesota. She played that piano and was an organist for 20 years. Anita loved music and played blue grass for many years.

Anita is preceded in death by her husband, Pete Hanson, her brothers, Jimmy Littlejohn, Paul Littlejohn, and Thurmond Littlejohn.

Anita is survived by her sisters, Ruth Buckler and Doris Johnson, Her son, John Hanson, and her daughter, Darla Hanson. She loved her many nieces and nephews and the many times of fun with them.
