Angel Tijerina Sr.

Angel Tijerina Sr, 65, of Amarillo, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021.

Angel was born on March 4, 1956 in Haskell, Texas to Donicio and Maria Tijerina. For the majority of Angel’s life he spent traveling the roads as a truck driver. He loved High School football all the way to the Oklahoma Sooners and college football. Angel enjoyed spending time with his family at cookouts and indulging in a sweet treat like Almond Joys and Butterfingers.

He is preceded in death by his father, Donicio Tijerina and his step-father, Abel Cardenas.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Alcorn; his mother, Maria Tijerina; his children, Angel Tijerina Jr., Steven Tijerina, Donicio “GoGo” Tijerina, Joshua Tijerina; his siblings, Carlos, Irene, Dora, Abby; his 4 grandsons and 2 grand-daughters.
