Allan Dwayne "A.D." Hudson

Allan Dwayne "A.D." Hudson passed from these earthly bounds on Sunday, September 22, 2019. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am, Friday, September 27, 2019 at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church with Brother Bob Heidecker officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 5:30 - 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel.

Allan was born on May 3, 1930 in Clarendon, TX to Neely and Sadie Hudson. He graduated from Clarendon High School and he joined the Navy in September of 1950 and proudly served his country. He married the love of his life, Cynthia Glasgow on April 7, 1951 in Clovis, NM.. A.D. attended Clarendon Jr. College and West Texas State University and he worked at Pantex for over twenty eight years.

While here in Amarillo, they attended Forest Hill Methodist Church and Pleasant Valley UMC. He was very active in Emmaus Community and the VFW. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and tinkering on cars were one of his hobbies. He kept all the family and relatives cars working.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Marjorie.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia of sixty eight years; three sons and daughter in laws, John Hudson and wife Gale, Sid Hudson and wife Cindy and Roger Hudson and wife Patsy; Seven grandsons and one granddaughter, Trae Hudson and wife Tonia, Aaron Hudson and wife Rebecca, Seth Hudson and wife Addie, Cy Hudson and wife Sara, Salem Hudson, Neely Hudson, Rachel Hudson and Patrick Hudson and eight great grandchildren who blessed his life.
