Winfred Lee Walker was born in Quitaque, TX, to Homer and Willie Walker. He graduated from High school and went on to earn his associate's degree.
Winfred served in the Air Force as a Base Tour Mechanic for 3 years, starting at Sheppard Air Force Base, and did tours in Greenland and Okinawa, Japan. There, he received the Air Force Good Conduct Medal among other achievements. After his time in the military, he served as the Captain of the Plainview Fire Department for over 20 years. He touched many lives during his time there. He married Pamala and had 49 wonderful years together. They spent 20 years RVing, where they shared many laughs and good times. Winfred also enjoyed woodwork in his downtime; his family fondly remembers the joy it brought him to create wonderful pieces of woodwork. He also enjoyed fishing and playing billiards, at which he was very good at.
He is survived by his Wife, Pamala Walker, Son, Todd Walker, his brothers, Doyle Walker and Max Barham, four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Willie Walker, and his brother, Butch Walker.
