Bill JR Pruitt

William “Bill” Pruitt, Jr., (90) of Amarillo, Texas, formerly of Tucumcari, New Mexico, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024, in Amarillo, Texas.  He was born on December 2, 1933, in Estil Fork, Alabama to the late William Eli and Fanny (Elliot) Pruitt.  He had worked as a water well driller before he retired.   He also loved to play the guitar very much.

He is preceded in death by this wife, Sandra Pruitt, his parents, two brothers, and four sisters.  

He is survived by two sons, David Pruitt of Amarillo, Texas, and James Pruitt of Taylorville, Illinois, one stepson, Clyde Westbrook, two stepdaughters, Dee Hamilton and Vickie Shumate, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
