Wallace Edward Reiser

Wallace Edward Reiser passed into the arms of Jesus on December 3, 2022.  Wallace was born on April 8, 1946 to Edward Reiser of St. Louis Missouri and Ann Raney Lott of Amarillo, Texas.

Wally was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas.  In 1965 he was drafted into the Army to serve in the Vietnam era.  He was the second married man in Texas to be drafted and he was stationed in Fort Belvoir, Virginia until 1968.  Wally was a proud farmer and rancher for about 15 years and was named the top corn farmer in New Mexico for 3 of those years.  He also served as a Borden Plant Manager, 4-H Leader, Union County Deputy Sherriff, Sedan Volunteer Fireman, Lawn Mower Shop Owner, and Sports Card Shop Owner. Wally had a love of the mountains, especially Red River and Cimarron.  He was an avid hunter, fly fisherman, gun collector and a jack of all trades who could fix anything!

He was known for making people laugh and for the stories he told, which were mostly true.  He was a hard worker, had a heart of gold and lived a life of integrity.  He loved his family and instilled his values on his kids and grandkids.

Wally is survived by his wife, Linda Podzemny who he was married to for 57 years.  He is also survived by his son Wallace Reiser II & wife Rena, his daughter Teise Reiser Ferrell & husband Patrick, his daughter Cathy Crismore & husband Shawn, and his son Kelly Reiser & wife Valerie.  He is survived by his grandchildren:  Tyler, John, Braxton, Cal, Ashley, Joshua, Damon, Chase, Jennifer, Sydney and Nate and his step grandchildren Melanie and Lindsey as well as 4 great grandchildren.  He is also survived by his brother Mark Robertson, brother Lee Reiser, brother Jack Daniel and sister Denise Johnson.  He is proceeded in death by both parents, and brothers Glenn Robertson and Mike Reiser.

Funeral services will be held at LeGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Home (Coulter Location) on December 30, 2022 at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Baptist St. Anthony’s (BSA) Hospice or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
