Van Dwight Skidmore

Van Dwight Skidmore 88, of Amarillo passed away December 16, 2023. He was born in Shamrock TX to Benny and Euple Skidmore on February 15, 1935.

He attended Amarillo College for two years, afterwards he worked for Diamond Shamrock as a credit analyst, until he retired. Later he worked for Home Depot in the tool rental department. Van was a member of the First Baptist Church and The Coast Guard Auxiliary.  In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing tennis, chess, which he was a chess master, and he loved watching the Dallas Cowboys.

Van is survived by his sister Sherri, children Greg and wife Stephanie, Sabrina, grandchildren Bridgett and Logan, great-grandchildren Layland, Arayna, and Zailyn.
