Thao Dinh Tran, 80, of Amarillo passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 26, 2020. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Our Lady of Vietnam Catholic Church. Prayer services will be at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, March 4, 2020 and Thursday, March 5, 2020 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel. Rosary will be said at 6:00 pm, March 6, 2020 at Our Lady of Vietnam. Burial will follow in Llano East Cemetery.
Thao was born on September 10, 1939 in Vietnam. He worked at Tyson as a meat processor. When he was not working, he enjoyed gardening and going to church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Ngoan Phan; four sons, Doan Tran and wife Kim Lien Nguyen, Doanh Tran and wife Linh Nguyen, Dao Tran and wife Diem Trinh and Dang Tran; eight grandchildren, Viet Tran, Hung Tran, Ben Tran, Theresa Tran, Johnbosco Tran, Paul Tran, John Tran and Joseph Tran.
