Susan “Susie” Marie Tate, 36, passed away on Tuesday, March 19th, 2024. Susie was born on December 8th, 1987 to Tina Clift and Russell Kennedy, and later adopted by Gary Fancher and raised in Amarillo, Texas. 

She graduated from Amarillo High School in 2006 and married William Tate on April 10, 2020. Susie had an immense love for children and treated every child she knew as her own. She worked for Footprints Day School for several years and then worked at ABC Learning Center for a year until she got her wish to run her own in-home daycare for 3 years.

Susie enjoyed playing games, singing karaoke, and socializing with her friends, Susie was the “Mother Hen” of the group and always went out of her way to make sure everyone felt welcome and made it home safely. Susie adored her family and never missed a family dinner, holiday, or bingo night. She was always up for a road trip whether it be to Oklahoma City or Vegas. She always loved “Mommy Time” for getting her hair, nails, and toes done together. She loved going for a drive or having lunch with her sister every week. “Sister Time” was always a top priority for Susie. She also loved a night at home with her husband snuggled up with her dogs watching movies.

She is survived by her husband, William Walter Tate; Mother In Law Katherann Lee; Mother, Tina Clift; Biological father, Russell Kennedy; Father, Gary Fancher and his wife Alisha; Sister, Crystal Fancher; Grandparents, Bobby and Sue Clift; Cousins, Bobby and Gladys Clift and their two children Aziel and Gael; Steven Kennedy and Seara-Cignarale Kennedy and children four Rylynn, Trip, Addilyn, and Harlyn; Uncle and Aunt Robert and Elaine Kennedy and many other extended family members. Her best friend, Kayla Wait, and many other close friends.

            Susie was preceded in death by her aunts, Terri Cook and Traci Music; and Great grandmother Ruby Howard.
