How I wish I could stand with you for just a moment and close my eyes so I could see their smiles, arms flung wide, and hear them saying "Welcome home, Momma".... Dad dancing you through the gates saying, "Bout damn time, Suzie! I saved you a seat but first come meet my new friends!" And then in the immediate quiet that follows hearing, "Welcome home, my child..."

Each and every one of us are so blessed to have had you in our lives, but none more than me.

 As long as I can remember, you, Momma, were my personal cheerleader. I am who I am because of you. I will forever be grateful for the sacrifices you made, the lessons, even the hard ones you taught. But above all, I am so very thankful for your belief in me and unconditional love. I know I didn't always make things easy growing up, but you never gave up on me, and I hope and pray that I've made you proud.

 Susan was born on January 21, 1947, in Greenville, Texas, to Claude and Lillie Barker. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jackie Lynn Haley; her daughter, Tonya Sue; and her son-in-law, Troy. 

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Nicole, and her husband, Shane; her grandchildren, Haley and her husband, Christian, Ashton and his wife, Bri, Makenzie, and Sydney; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Jackson, Aubry, Kayson, Coen, and Anni. 

Susan loved fiercely and unconditionally. Her family was the center of her world and always came before everything else. She gave her love freely, offered unwavering support, and created lasting memories that her family will treasure forever. Her strength, kindness, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

 A memorial service celebrating Susan's life will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 Coulter Street, Amarillo, Texas.

 I don't know when or how, but one day we will be okay. You taught us how to be strong, to have faith, to overcome. One day we will think of you and smile. The pain will lessen and we will find peace amid the grief. Thank you for being the beautiful soul, amazing mother, Memaw, and friend. Rest, Momma, and deep breaths. He holds you now. 

Though her time with us has come to an end, Susan's love, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
