Souna Sikalasinh, 73, of Amarillo, passed away Friday, October 9, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m., Friday, October 16, 2026, at LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road chapel. Cremation will follow at Memory Gardens Crematory. Souna will be available for viewing, Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 4-7 p.m. at LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Martin Road Chapel. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw, 1505 Martin Road.

Souna was born December 3, 1953, in Vientiane Laos, to Chanh and Chanhdeng Sikalasinh. At the age of 28, she immigrated to the United States in February 1981. She retired from West Texas A&M University.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chanh and Chanhdeng Sikalasinh: her son, Viengsane Sikalasinh; and her grandson, Cameron Mota.

Souna is survived by her husband, Samane Sikalasinh of the home; a son, Viengkhone Sikalasinh; a daughter, Viengthong Sikalasinh; two brothers, Syha Sikalasinh and Khan Sikalasinh; two sisters, Souchada Xayakone and Vanna Vixay; nine grandchildren, Alex Pedroza and wife Kourtney Calderon, Kitarra Kayakone, Kiarra Kayakone, Tovi Mota, Kyler Manylath, Max Puentes-Sikalasinh, Mikey Sikalasinh, Kenyon Sikalasinh and wife Tania Loera and Cheyenne Sikalasinh; seven great-grandchildren, Alayna, Roslynn, Kameron, Romina, Keondrick, Solana and Levi; and numerous nieces and nephews.
