Sandra "Sandy" Lou Miller, age 70, of Amarillo passed away September 3, 2013. A time for the family to receive friends will be Thursday, September 5, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Funeral services will be Friday, September 6, 2013 at 10:30 am at Family Life Church with Dale Travis, pastor officiating. Interment will follow at Llano Cemetery.
Sandy was born in Amarillo on April 24, 1943 to Toby and Rosemary (Richards) Dorsey. She was preceded in death by her father, Toby Dorsey, husband, James "Rick" Miller and grandson, Scott Gattis. She attended Tascosa High School and worked for many years at the Country Barn as a waitress.
Sandy loved being with her family and spending time with all of them. She was a loving daughter, wife, mom and nanny and will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her three sons and three daughters in law Randy and Carrie Miller of Amarillo, Buddy and Lisa Miller of Canyon and Terry and Melissa Miller of Amarillo and a daughter Kim Cannon of Amarillo. She also leaves behind a sister and brother in law Toby Jean and Eddie Miller of Howardwick and her mother Rosemary and step father Carl Galub of Amarillo. She is survived by the loves of her life, her twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and Miss Kitty.
