Samuel Baucom

Samuel Baucom Jr. 97, of Amarillo, passed away on September 27, 2022. He was born on November 4, 1924, to Samuel and Beatrice Baucom Sr. Later he married Mary Jane Baucom who passed on January 29, 2016.

He served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in England from 1942 to 1946. Sam worked as a carpenter and owned Amarillo Roof Truss Co. He was a Deacon of Grand Ave. Baptist Church, and a member of the Amarillo Executive Club, and the Cub Scouts. Sam was an avid Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved to go golfing, bowling, and playing dominoes.

Sam is survived by Don (Shirley) Baucom, Samuel C. (Dona) Baucom, Wayne Baucom, Shane (Kyla) Baucom, and Debbie Williams. His 28 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wife Mary Jane, Brother Bill Baucom, Sisters Margaret Ruzich, Dorothy Brotherton, Daughter Becky Baucom, and son Danny Joe Baucom.
