It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Ruby Kathryn Sanders. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by family into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father.

Ruby was born in February of 1930 to Ralph and Clara Roper in Burden, Kansas. She was the youngest child of 5. Ruby quickly married after a whirlwind romance to her late husband Lloyd Sanders, and they adopted two children of their own. They moved to Odessa, TX, and became huge Permian Panther fans.

Ruby loved her friends, card games and gardening. She loved children and was a wonderful teacher. She spent her later years volunteering as a pink lady at Medical Center Hospital.

She is survived by her five grandchildren, Jennifer Smith, Christi Sanders, Susan Cowart, Darren May and Kayla Davidson. She had 11 great-grandchildren: Zackary, Kaiden, Caitlyn, Carter, Coley, Colby, Logan, Bradlee, Alexia, Bryson and Asher, and nephew - Steve Roper & wife Connie

She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd, her daughter, Denise Smith, her son, Duane Sanders and her grandson Scott Sanders

Those who knew Ruby knew she thought life was a gift, but she was at peace and ready to go home to be with Jesus.

No service will be held, and she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband.
