Rose Trujillo, 71, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2026 surrounded by her family. She was born on November 19, 1954, in Española, New Mexico, to Maclovio Ortiz and Amada Vigil Ortiz.

 Rose was a caring woman whose greatest joy was the love she shared with her family and friends. On December 23, 1972, she married the love of her life, Bernard “Bernie” Trujillo. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, family, and countless cherished memories.

 Rose was a devoted mother to her daughter, Hendi Trujillo, born April 20, 1975, and her son, Bernard Trujillo, born December 23, 1977, both of Amarillo, Texas. She was also a loving mother-in-law to Amanda Trujillo and, above all, the proud “Gaga” of her two grandchildren, Hanna (17) and Marcus (16), who were truly the pride and joy of her life.

 Throughout her years as a nail tech, Rose developed many dear and lasting friendships. Her warm personality, genuine affection, and caring nature touched the lives of so many people she encountered. She later continued her entrepreneurial spirit as a business owner, running her beloved boutique. Rose took great pride in her work and in the relationships she built along the way. Rose will be remembered for her elegance, loyalty, kindness, and the affection she showed so freely to those she loved. She had a special way of making people feel cared for and valued. Her presence brought warmth to her family, and her memory will live on through the many lives she touched.

 Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Maclovio and Amada Ortiz; her sister, Vera Ortiz; her brother-in-law, Jerry Martinez; and her niece, Ruth Harvey.

 Those left to cherish Rose’s memory include her beloved husband of 53 years, Bernard “Bernie” Trujillo; her daughter, Hendi Trujillo; her son, Bernard Trujillo; her daughter-in-law, Amanda Trujillo; and her grandchildren, Hanna and Marcus, who held a very special place in her heart. She is also survived by her sister, Nila Martinez of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; her brother, Santiago Ortiz, and wife Nora of La Mesilla, New Mexico; numerous precious nieces and nephews; and many dear friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with her.

 Rose leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and friendship. Though she will be deeply missed, her love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
