BIOGRAPHY: Ricardo was born on February 22, 1960 in Jalisco, Mexico to Ramon and Aurora Chavez. Ricardo was a rancher and he owned and trained race horses. He was a wonderful person and had a love for everybody that he met. Ricardo was always happy and loved being outside on his ranch with his horses. Ricardo loved spending time with his family and friends.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Nelida of the home; 3 daughters Janet Chavez, Sandra Chavez and Jasmin Chavez, all of Amarillo; one son Ricardo Chavez Jr. of Amarillo; five grandchildren and numerous brothers and sisters
