Phillip Lloyd Stewart, 80, of Amarillo died on Friday, April 21, 2017. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life 10:00 am Friday, April 28, 2017 in LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Arrangements are under the personal care LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter Road, Amarillo, Texas 79109.
Phillip Lloyd Stewart was born on September 19, 1936 in Greenwood, Wisconsin to Robert Alonzo and Alice Minnette Stewart. He married Anna Laura Gantt on November 20, 1956 in Amarillo. He worked for the United States Postal Service as an evening supervisor. He was an avid sports fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and a sister.
Mr. Stewart is survived by his wife of 60 years, Anna; four children, Cynthia Mech, John Stewart and wife Beth, Keith Stewart and wife Wendy and Mary Lou Crist and husband, Lyle; two sisters, Helen Rhode and Mary Lou Brandt; thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
