Naomi "Ruth" Buckler, 81, of Amarillo, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026 with her family by her side.
Ruth was born in Frederick, Oklahoma, on May 21, 1944 to Reverend Clifford and Ruby Littlejohn. Her family later moved to Amarillo, where she met the love of her life, Robert Buckler.
They met at an Airforce Dance, and their life was forever changed. They married on December 7th, 1965, in Prince's George County in the state of Maryland.
Ruth loved making ceramics, making needlepoints and paint by numbers. She also loved bead-making necklaces, bracelets and watches. She also played the piano and organ for her church.
She dearly loved playing music and spoiling the babies at the church. Her number one love was her Jesus and was always willing to help anyone who needed it. She also loved spoiling her own Grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Buckler, her son Scott Buckler, sister Anita Hanson, brothers Jimmy Littlejohn, Thurmond Littlejohn, and Paul Littlejohn.
She is survived by her Daughter Melinda Chavez, Sister Doris Johnson, five Grandchildren and, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by countless other friends and family.
