Nadine Esther Davis passed from this life on September 29, 2023. She was born to Earl and Eva Briggs on March 9, 1923 on her grandfather’s farm near Durham OK. She attended school in a little one-room schoolhouse at Sunny Slope. It was also the community church. She was the eighth child of 12 siblings.

She married Preston Davis on February 3, 1941 and to this union was born five sons and three daughters.

Nadine experienced the Oklahoma Dust Bowl, the Depression, and the capture and release of Preston during WWII. These events helped contribute to the strong Christian woman she became.

She loved working in her flowerbeds and canning fruits and vegetables. Her apricot butter and applebutter were some favorite Christmas gifts with the family.

Nadine was preceded in death by her husband Preston; three sons Don, Bennie, and Bo; her parents; three sons-in-laws Woodrow Weidner, Max Snipes and David Lyons; one daughter-in-law, one grandson, one great-grandson; and 10 siblings.

She is survived by Joe Davis (Betty), Sharon Black (Ben), Reva Weidner, Karlene Lyons, Jack Davis (Janet), two daughters-in-law Sue Cornley (Roger), Katherine Davis, one brother Sherman Briggs (Joy), 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren,14 great-great-grandchildren and three on the way, and many nieces and nephews.
