Mary Allyne Jordan, 90, of Amarillo, passed from this life on Saturday, December 29, 2018. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Interment will follow at Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon.

Allyne was born July 30, 1928 in Ottawa, Kansas to Claude and Mary Ferne (Flora) Buckner. She graduated from Ottawa High School in 1946. Allyne married Charles "Chuck" Jordan on July 25, 1948 in Ottawa, Kansas and they would spend the next 64 years together.

Allyne was a devoted Christian wife and mother. She took great pride in her role as homemaker. As they were raising their three children, friends were always welcome at the Jordan home. Allyne and Chuck never missed a sporting event for their children and attended as many as they could for their grandchildren. She and her husband Chuck were best friends. Once he retired from Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Company after thirty-seven years of service, they wintered in Arizona for 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Chuck; her son, Stephen Jordan and her sister, Lois.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Don Jordan (Donna) of Alva, Ok and her daughter, Linda Nichols of Canyon; daughter-in-law, Sheri Jordan of Mason, Texas; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer Wyatt (Travis), Brad Jordan (Danielle), David Nichols (Jamie), Bethany Nichols, Mark Nichols (Saige), Mike Seely (Traci), Matt Seely and Wade Jordan (Melissa). She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, Carigan, Delaney, Shayleigh, Tanner, Brooklyn, Sylas, Jessica, Thomas, Riley, Aaron, Mason and Brady.

Allyne's family would like to extend their eternal gratitude to the staff of Autumn Leaves of Amarillo for the care and love they displayed to Allyne. She felt your love always.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Autumn Leaves of Amarillo, 7480 Hillside Road or to the Alzheimer's Association.
