Mark Rhodes

Mark Rhodes, 61, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025. Funeral services are scheduled for 10am, Thursday, August 28, 2025, at LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Coulter road chapel. A viewing for Mark will be available from 10am-5pm on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Coulter road chapel.

Mark Rhodes was born on June 2, 1964, in Amarillo, Texas, to James Rhodes and Sandra Leigh Baudoin. He built a life defined by hard work, loyalty, and love for those closest to him. Mark spent much of his career with Pioneer General Contractors, where he was admired for his dedication and skill, before later working independently in his own ventures. Mark was a devoted husband to his wife, Melanie Rhodes, with whom he shared many cherished years. He will be remembered not only for his strong work ethic, but also for his kindness, sense of humor, and the quiet strength he brought to his family and friends. His presence was a steady source of support and love, and his memory will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Rhodes and his brother.

Survivors left to cherish his memory are his wife, Melanie Rhodes; his father, James Rhodes; his son, Zack Rhodes and his wife; his step-daughters, Desiree Cerda, April Bates and Melissa Thompson and his grandchildren, Jakobi Cerda, Sarah Hartsell  and Sonny Alexander.
