Maria A. Mendoza

Maria A. Mendoza, 81, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. Memorial services are pending.

Maria was born on June 13, 1943, to Manuel Mendoza and Josefa Ruiz in Chihuahua, Mexico. She moved to the United States 35 years ago to be closer to her family in Texas. Maria was devoted in her faith as a Catholic and was a long-time member at St Laurence Catholic Church and was one of the Guadalupanas for 25 years. Maria loved taking care of children, especially her nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews and the children at the church. She was a very special person and took such loving care of everybody in her family.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Ruby Leticia Garcia and husband, Manuel, of Amarillo; her grandchildren, Ruby Garcia, Esmerelda Inmon and husband, Logan Inmon, Manuel Garcia Jr. and wife, Belle Garcia; great-grandchildren, Max Morales and Logan Inmon Jr. and her nieces and nephews, Yolanda Mendoza, Miriam Mendoza and Rodolfo Mendoza.
