Lonnie Xaymongkhoune, 69, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 12-2pm at LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Coulter Road chapel. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 9am-7pm on Monday, August 24, 2026.

Lonnie was born on November 5, 1956, in Laos. In 1980, he moved to the United States, where he built a home and a life he was deeply proud of, providing a loving and caring home for his family.

Lonnie married Amy Radavong, and together they shared 46 wonderful years of marriage. Family was at the heart of Lonnie’s life, and he devoted himself to caring for those he loved. He took great pride in caring for his mother-in-law and father-in-law until their passing, always showing them the same love, respect, and devotion he gave to his own family.

A hardworking and humble man, Lonnie was happiest when he was busy caring for his home and the people around him. He was kind, generous, and loving, and he would gladly give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Lonnie especially enjoyed cooking and barbecuing, and many cherished memories were made gathered around a meal with family and friends.

Lonnie was also a true patriot. He proudly served in the Laotian military, and after making the United States his home, he proudly displayed the American flag as a symbol of the country he had come to love. He was dedicated to serving his community and faithfully served at the Buddhist temple, where he gave his time and heart to others.

Lonnie will be remembered for his strong work ethic, humble spirit, generous heart, devotion to his family, and the love he so freely gave to everyone around him. His presence was a blessing to those who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and community.

Survivors left to cherish his memory are his wife, Amy Xaymongkhoune; his children, BD Xaymongkhoune, Jimmy Xaymongkhoune and Jordan Xaymongkhoune; his brother, Tea Saymongkhoune and his grandchildren, Avery Alvarez, Salina Alvarez and Xayda Xaymongkhoune.
