Linda Kay Oltmanns

Linda Kay Oltmanns was a giving wife, a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on February 21, 2024.

She was born to Louie and LaVerne Sarrett on April 14, 1949. After graduating from high school, Linda traveled with her husband, Lamont Oltmanns, while he served in the Air Force for 23 years. Upon her husband’s retirement, Linda went on to become a nurse and worked for the Amarillo VA Healthcare System until she retired. Together, they had 2 children: Julie and January.

Linda is survived by her daughters Julie Marie McCannon and January Gjerdevig (spouse Aaron Houp). Grandchildren- Jennifer Higgins (spouse Cody Higgins), Cayman Gjerdevig, Finn Gjerdevig, Joshua Houp and Avery Houp. Siblings- Darwin “Butch” Sarrett, Joy Everett (spouse Joe Everett), and Jenelle Goforth.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lamont Oltmanns, and her brother Donnie Sarrett.
