Linda Eileen McLemore, 80, of Borger, Texas, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026.
Linda was born on March 22, 1945, to Ervin W. Cook and Vera Faye Shotwell in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from W. W. Samuell High School in 1963. In 1964, she married the love of her life, Larry McLemore, and together they shared 61 wonderful years of marriage.
Linda was a sharp, savvy businesswoman with a strong work ethic. She spent 20 years as a finance manager for Bob Johnson Motor Company before turning her entrepreneurial spirit toward the hospitality industry. In 2000, she became a co-owner of Kristy Mac’s Jolly Pig in Borger, where she was known not only for her business sense but for creating a welcoming place filled with laughter, music, and friendship.
Linda had a deep love for music, enjoying everything from rock and roll to country, and could often be found playing cards or shooting pool with friends. Above all, she was immensely proud of her family, especially her cherished grandchildren. Fiercely loyal and deeply devoted, Linda valued her friendships greatly and was loved just as faithfully in return.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Jack Cook and his wife, Trudy Cook; her sister-in-law, Linda Cook and her niece, Sherry Cook.
Survivors left to cherish Linda’s memory are her husband, Larry McLemore; her children, Shawn McLemore and wife, Chery, Brent McLemore and wife, Teresa, Jason McLemore and Kristen McLemore; her brothers, Norman Cook and Larry Cook and wife, Sherry; her grandchildren, Chase McLemore, Laci Kinser, Kelsi McDonald, Christian McLemore, Chloe McLemore, Daxton McLemore, Shelby McLemore, Adeline McLemore and Jarrett Moore; her 8 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way; her nieces, Leslie Ann Cook, Michelle Kvestad, Melissa Cook and Rachel Cook; her nephews, James Cook, Tony Cook and Neal Cook and her beloved friends at the “Blue Hair Table” at the Jolly Pig.
