Koune Thongboutsady

Koune Thongboutsady, 81, passed away on January 6, 2026, with her family by her side, she was born on June 8, 1944, in Yasothon, Thailand. She was married to Prakhong Thongboutsady. They met in Laos. She retired from Levi Strauss after 16 years, where she was a Seamstress. She became a proud U.S. citizen on January 29, 2000.

She is survived by, 3 daughters, Boualong Boulom, Nicky Nammavong and Crystal Van Galder; One son, Pitsaboun Thongboutsady and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Koune was a very humble, kind, and giving person. She was a proud member of Wat Lao of Buddharam Temple in Amarillo, Texas.
